[Xine-vdpau] xine player

Hi,
   I am a newbie to xine , wanted to get xine working with vdpau support.  I
followed all the steps in

but after I do make  and  make install ( as root) ,  it installs the
xine-lib  in the correct paths.

steps 3)  and beyond do not work for me.

By default , xine is not installed in my kubuntu system.     I tried
installing xine-ui , but it is not playin any H.264 files.

Can you please let me know how to install the correct xine player and how do
I make it use the xine-lib ( for vdpau) I just
compiled.
